President Obama signed the “Budget Control Act of 2011” in August after it was debated for a long time in Congress. The law requires that the government cut spending by $1.5 trillion over the next ten years. While most U.S. government dollars go to the military, cuts will likely be to programs that help the poor, elderly and people out of work, and to services for youth such as school nutrition and education.

  1. Hey there just wanted to give you a quick heads up. The words in your content seem to be running off the screen in Opera. I’m not sure if this is a formatting issue or something to do with web browser compatibility but I thought I’d post to let you know. The style and design look great though! Hope you get the issue resolved soon. Cheers
