Jdimytai Damour, a Wal-Mart seasonal worker, was trampled to death on the morning of November 28 when shoppers broke through the doors at a Long Island, New York, store. In the midst of widespread criticism of its worker policies, Wal-Mart now faces a court case filed by the family of Damour. The family’s complaint claims that Wal-Mart “engaged in specific marketing and advertising techniques to specifically attract a large crowd and create an environment of frenzy and mayhemand was otherwise careless, reckless and negligent.”
