Adhara Pérez, an 11-year-old girl from Veracruz, Mexico, is now one of Forbes’ 100 most powerful women in Mexico. At just 9 years old, her IQ was already 162, which is two whole points higher than Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking and 70 points higher than the average person!
She learned to read when she was just 2 years old, and had finished elementary school, middle and high school by the time she was 8 years old. She was bullied at school because she has Asperger’s syndrome. Even her teachers didn’t understand her because she was so advanced. Her parents took her to a therapist, who told them to enroll her in the Center for Attention to Talent. Adhara has now earned two engineering degrees and is developing a smart bracelet that can understand the feelings of kids with disabilities like her.
Adhara has a telescope in her bedroom, and when she grows up, she wants to be on the other end of that telescope, exploring space as an astronaut.
