The Boy Scouts of America has broken its longstanding ban on gay scouts. The vote to decide this, which took place on May 25, contained a measure to end the ban on gay scouts, but did not include gay leaders.
Zach Wahls is the founder of Scouts for Equality, an organization that has been fighting since June 2012 to end the Boy Scouts of America’s ban on gay scouts and leaders.
In May, at their National Annual Meeting, the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) will make a decision about whether or not to overturn their ban on openly gay scouts and leaders.
