Radiated Rice in Japan

When the 2011 earthquake hit Fukushima, Japan, it set off a nuclear power plant explosion, which spread radiation and toxic materials into the environment. Farms, nature, animals, and people were poisoned. Just 12 months after the nuclear accident, 57,900 more deaths were re- corded, according to the Huffington Post.The Japanese government banned rice from the Fukushima region because of irradiation.
