Why make your own laundry detergent?
- Less waste: It reduces the amount of plastic containers and caps that end up in the garbage.
- Boycott brands that take away peoples’ rights: Brands such as Tide laundry detergent are made by a company called Proctor & Gamble. Proctor & Gamble is one of many corporations that spends their money to support the American Legislative Council (ALEC), which fights to pass controversial laws like Stand Your Ground and the new voter identification law, which would make it difficult for the elderly, poor and people of color from voting in the November election.
- It saves money.
